Twitter v posledných dňoch demokratizačného pohybu v Teheráne informoval, aj dezinformoval, schreibt píše Noam Cohen v New York Times. Ale v každom prípade drží médiá pod krkom: „Just as Twitter can rally protesters against governments, its broadcast ability can rally them quickly and efficiently against news outlets. One such spontaneous protest was given the tag #CNNfail, using Internet slang to call out CNN last weekend for failing to have comprehensive coverage of the Iranian protests. This was quickly converted to an e-mail writing campaign. CNN was forced to defend its coverage in print and online.“

Live-Tweeting the Revolution robí stále obrovský dojem na blogera – klasika Andrew Sullivana, ktorý vo svojom The Daily Dish v britských Timesoch píše: „Nedalo sa necítiť prepojenie s ľuďmi na uliciach, hlavne s mladou generáciou, s ich blogmi a facebookovými odkazmi – to všetko je Západniarom v okamihu dôverne známe, spôsobom, ktorý by bol ešte pred desiatimi rokmi nemysliteľný. Toto nové medium zrušilo závoj inakosti a my sme v nich začali vidieť seba.“
